Short Term Scientific Mission Graz

As a part of the COST Action CA17140 Nano2Clinic, PhD student Nikolina Kalčec was awarded the Short Term Scientific Mission scholarship for a 2 month-stay (1.3. – 30.4.2020.) at the Gottfried Schatz Research Center for Cell Signaling, Metabolism and Aging, Biophysics / Nanomedicine, Medical University of Graz, in Graz, Austria.

Under the supervision of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ruth Prassl, Nikolina Kalčec will investigate drug-loading strategy on gold nanoparticles to gain efficient and safe therapy for brain tumors. These experiments are in accordance with the work plan of the SENDER project and will form a part of Nikolina Kalčec’s doctoral thesis.
